Dear IAHSE Member:

The Illinois Association of Hispanic State Employees (IAHSE) is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization which advocates for the employment, educational, and professional development of Hispanic state employees and ensures quality services to our Latino communities in Illinois. Since 1987, IAHSE has been instrumental in addressing issues affecting Latinos in employment and community services. As an advocate, it is IAHSE’s intent to remain a viable and effective force impacting the employment and educational policies which may infringe on the aspirations of our constituency.

Our membership consists of state employees who are currently employed by state agencies, universities, boards, and commissions or other entities of Illinois Government. Associate membership is also available to non-state employees and full-time students.

The IAHSE nominations committee is accepting nominations of members to serve on the Board of Directors. The term is for 3 years and will commence on January 1, 2015. The Board of Directors’ meeting is held once a month. The elected Board member must be able to commit to attend the meetings, must serve on a committee as well as the conference committee, and believe in our mission of the organization.

Please take the time to nominate an IAHSE member whom is in good standing for one year or perhaps you are interested in nominating yourself. All nomination forms must be completed and returned with a brief biography of the nominee to the IAHSE office by December 17, 2014.
